9 Hidden Military Facebook Groups For Support
Military Facebook Groups are popping up everywhere, but which ones are worth joining? If you’re like me, you’ve ended up in some groups that you quickly left as soon as you entered. Some things are just not worth allowing in your newsfeed!
Today I’m offering 9 hidden gems that are helpful, creative and have passed the test of being worth at least a minute of your time.
(By the way… by “support” I mean they support your military life in some way. Some offer emotional support, some are geared toward logistics such as selling a home, etc).
OK here we go…
Military Church Search– A great place to ask other military families about churches and find help for locating the perfect (for you) church home.
Mil-Blogging Buddies– If you’re a blogger and you touch on military issues in your blog, this is a great place to connect with other like-minded writers. My blog has grown a lot since joining, especially due to all the social sharing we do of each other’s work.
Oh the Places We Go– A place to exchange information related to the military, including best local schools/activities in a new duty station, recommendations, and more.
Military Home Search– A group for posting your properties for sale or rent and those looking to move to help you find the next place to call Home!
Navy Home Search– Similar to Military Home Search, Navy Home Search is a group for Navy folks looking to buy sell rent their properties.
***Same issue as Creative Care Packages– the owner changed the group to a “secret group.” My best solution is if you want to join, message me on my Facebook page with your email address. I can email you an invitation (directly from within the facebook group), and then if you accept, you will then have to be admin-approved. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Military Wives Infertility Support Group– This group is designed for Military wives dealing with infertility (trying to get pregnant for 1 year or more). It’s real and raw.
White Walls– HUGE group! Turn your military house into a home after a PCS. White Walls is a group for Active duty, guard, reserve, AGR service members and their card carrying dependent spouses, Military vets and their spouses, and DOD civilians and their spouses. I love this group— it’s addictive! People share their home decor projects and ask each other for advice.
Moving House for the Military Spouse– Ok this one is actually a page, but I had to share it. It has photo albums of base housing pictures from bases all over the country, all branches. The pictures are from people living in the housing, not the housing office. It’s an amazing resource if you’re looking to move on base somewhere!
What military groups do you love being a part of?
